Temptation and Prayer

My post today is a copy of a response I sent to someone regarding the air strike of the United States against the murdering, insane Islamic militant extremists in Syria, who have been conducting an enormous and senseless genocide against everyone they can find that names the name of Jesus Christ. My son Benjamin spoke a word of prophecy about the air strike about an hour before it was ordered, having no idea that it was about to happen or that it was being considered. A brother in Christ said that Benjamin's prophecy was of Satan, and that prayer is the only thing that should be done about this major atrocity in Syria. Now you know what my response was addressing. I've left the brother's name out of the post here for respect of his being a brother in Christ.

I'm responding to your comment because I believe that you and those with you are good, not evil. I'm thankful for the kindness that you have shown Michael Gustin, and I'm sure that God appreciates it as well. I just want to say in regard to the word of prophecy that my son Benjamin Hale, gave on the 'interdiction,' that it was of God, and not of Satan, as you have supposed. First of all, according to one of the greatest prophets of God of all time, those who speak for God are known by their words being confirmed and fulfilled by God (Jer. 28:9). Those who prophesy falsely, whether by influence of Satan, or simply by their own mind, are known for their words NOT coming to pass. As the same great prophet also noted: "Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?" (Lam. 3:37). Not only so, but the same prophet Jeremiah also stated that most of God's prophets have been known for their prophecies of judgment, not peace (Jer. 28:8). Benjamin didn't even know what the word 'interdiction' meant until he looked it up, and it just happened to be referring to an air strike, which air strike was ordered by the President of the U.S. about an hour later. So why was this word given by God, and this air strike sent against these Islamic murderers? Simply because that is what GOD thought needed to be done. I mean, are you kidding me? Elisha Hale asked how you would feel if these things HAD BEEN DONE to your wife and family; but I ask you, How would you feel if these things [rape, murder, beheadings, forced renouncement of Christ, etc.] WERE PRESENTLY BEING DONE TO YOUR FAMILY AND WIFE IN YOUR SIGHT? That is exactly what Jesus has been dealing with in Syria, watching those of his wife and family done in such manner. Would you truly stand by and pray for these people if they were beheading your children and raping to death your wife, or would you do something to stop it? C'mon now, let's be real here. Not only so, but if Benjamin's prophecy had been by Satan, then we would be looking at a situation where Satan is sending judgment against Satan; that is unless you do not think that it is Satan that is behind the mass murder, torture, rape, and brutality that these anti-Christ Muslim extremists are doing to the Christians in Syria. It is you who should examine the spirit that YOU are of, at least according to Jesus, who warned those who called the operation of the Spirit of God a work of Satan; and that with the most severe of all warnings (Mat. 12:24-31).

The decision of the President to bomb these maniacal murderers was and is a decision of secular government about an international issue of major injustice and insane large scale brutality against an innocent, defenseless people. According to the Bible the secular governments are appointed by God, and they are the ministers of God for the sake of law, order, and justice in the societies that we live in. The scripture also says that those who are doing evil should fear that God-appointed power (Rom.13:1-3). Hear the scripture: "For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil" (Rom. 13:4). For this country, the most powerful nation on earth, to try to stop the mass slaying of innocent people in a depraved nation; is a very good thing. To "bear the sword" in such an intervention is equally as good, and in fact is the only remedy available in such a case. It is also God-ordained, and appointed, as the quoted scriptures plainly state. If the fervent, effectual prayers of righteous saints bring about the issuing of such a judgment from God, by the hand of the most powerful nation on earth; that is a VERY GOOD thing, both for the saints and for the people who make such a decision of righteous worth. Not to mention for the poor, decimated, defenseless Christians in Syria. May God be thanked and praised for HIS decision to issue this judgment, and may the President be rewarded for the just decision he made. And may God's faithful be rewarded for their prayers and care for the family of Jesus abroad, who are suffering such things that not one of us can fathom while we sit comfortably safe in this nation that is still yet under the protection and provision of God. And may a heavy and powerful fear of God be imparted to those who are doing such wickedness, "that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will" (II Tim. 2:26). As for those of us who are exposed to this particular discussion, "let the peace of God rule in [our] hearts, to the which also [we] are called in one body; and be thankful" (Col. 3:15).
