For there is no respect of persons with God

"For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel... Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God? For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written. For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God" (Rom. 2:11-16,23-29). I could have just copied the entire chapter to make the point even more clearly, but these passages really say it all in a condensed form. The question I have today is this: Where does the zealous spirit of Zionism that is found in almost all of the body of Christ, come from? It certainly doesn't come from the Bible, as this passage of scripture plainly shows. Is God going to turn back to Israel eventually? Of course, the Bible shows us that plainly as well, with more scripture that can be listed here. But let's look at a passage that is also found in the book of Romans, that makes that point as well as the point made from the passage that I've already quoted here: "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in... For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these [the Jews] also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy" (Rom. 11:25,30,31). But even when God does turn back to Israel it will only be a remnant that will believe and be saved, as the scripture says (Rom. 9:27; Rom. 11:5).

It's really simple friend as our very first text scripture shows us, and I'll copy it again for good measure: "For there is NO respect of persons with God." That also includes a multitude of persons, as in a nationality. Peter found this out first hand when God sent him to preach to the Gentiles for the very first time: "And he [Peter] said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean... Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him" (Acts 10:28,34,35). So let's get back to the point of today's post. Are the Jews God's people now? The answer to this question is as plain as the nose on your face. Those who truly believe on the Lord Jesus Christ are God's people, Jews and Gentiles alike; as the Bible also tells us: "For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is NEITHER Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, THEN are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" (Gal. 3:26-29). And here is the very same thing again for further confirmation from the scriptures: "For BY ONE SPIRIT are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit" (I Cor. 12:13). Next question: Is the nation of Israel today a believing nation, in regard to the Lord Jesus Christ? I think you know the answer to that one already. So the zeal and reverence that God's people have been taught to have for the nation of Israel and those who are of Israel, is grossly misguided. That zeal should be applied to ALL people WHO have been baptized BY JESUS with the holy Ghost, whether Jew or Gentile; as we have seen repeatedly by the Bible right here. So what SHOULD believers in Christ do about, or for Israel? "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for ALL men" (I Tim. 2:1). And once again for a good measure of Bible truth: "Honour ALL men" (I Pet. 2:17). Obviously these commandments include the nation of Israel and all who are of it. But these commandments also include all the other unbelieving nations in the middle east, as well as in all the world. As for me, I give a little more in prayer for Israel, for the simple reason that they WERE God's people, and they will be again; though it will be but a remnant. Not to mention that Jesus will reign over all the earth from Jerusalem for a thousand years. Yes, I love Israel even as I love all men, but I am not under dominion to the spirit that has turned God's people into respecters of persons on a mass scale, through this pro-Israel craze. Neither should you be influenced by such a spirit my friend, whether you be Jew or Gentile. Amen.
