The Only True Reality

So what is the only true reality in all of existence? Well, God of course! Let’s face it; he created all things, he sustains all things, and he has power over all things (Do we have to have scriptural confirmation?). So what is really going on is not what men think is going on, but rather what God is doing! Jesus exemplified the will of God when he was here, and he has left it to his spiritual body here on earth to carry on the same mission. This is not going to be a long post here; I’m getting to a point and it won’t take long. When Jesus was here, the scripture often states that those around him marveled when he did miraculous things. But the scripture never states that Jesus marveled when he performed the miraculous. So why didn’t he marvel? Because Jesus continually lived in the one true reality, and bringing forth miracles was simply the essence of that reality. Think about it. What is it that is not miraculous? About what? About everything! Our very existence and everything associated with it in all of creation came from absolutely nothing. God decided to do it, and he simply created all of this by his word. And it wasn’t a strain for him to do. He also miraculously sustains and governs all of it at all times. And he does it while keeping himself and his kingdom totally invisible to man. Too much to believe? Don’t strain, just believe, because he did and he does. Nothing at all is the way man thinks it is. Man is carnally minded, and the “carnal mind is enmity against God,” and has no chance at all of seeing things for what they really are (Rom. 8:7; I Cor. 2:14). In fact man thinks too much, and is totally bent to believing what he and other blind men think (Prov. 3:5; Prov. 18:2). But it doesn’t matter what unbelieving man thinks about anything, because it is the duty of believers to know what God thinks, and believe what he thinks. And we have plenty of documentation that tells us that God thinks the miraculous is the one and only reality.

Jesus said, “all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mk. 9:23). Jesus also said, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mk. 11:24). It should be noted that our prayers and faith must be anchored in things that are in line with the will of God, because it is not our prayers that bring anything to pass, but rather God’s answer to them. Jesus also said, "That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” (Mk. 11:23). Jesus listed a number of miraculous manifestations in Mark 16:17,18, saying that these miracle manifestations would follow those who believe on him. He said the following as well: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" (Jn. 14:12). The apostle Paul said that God "is able to do exceedinly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" (Eph. 3:20). So what about all of this? I’ll tell you what about it: We know that all scripture is inspired by God, and we know that God never changes (II Tim. 3:16; Mal. 3:6; Heb. 13:8; Jas. 1:17). For instance, Isa. 53:5 says, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” So has anything changed about him being “wounded for our transgressions,” or “bruised for our iniquities?” And how about “the chastisement of our peace [being] upon him?” Of course it hasn’t changed. Not one bit, and it’s very good for us that it hasn’t. So what about the part that says “with his stripes, we are healed?” If the other hasn’t changed, then neither has this; that is unless God has changed. Not a chance. So where we have to get to, is where the miraculous is the norm, because in all reality it absolutely is! Anything and everything else is just a lie, because it is not in agreement with what God has already established. So let’s believe the truth and allow the miraculous works of God to be the reality that we live in. Amen.
