John Chapter 5:

22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him...

26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Acts Chapter 10:

42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

Acts Chapter 17:

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

These passages of scripture reveal something very important to us about the person of Jesus Christ, as well as the person of the Father. At the end of the thousand year reign of Christ and the saints on earth, heaven and earth will be burned, and the dead who are lost will be resurrected, and the final white throne judgment will be held in heaven for all who have ever lived (Rev. 20:4,5,9-15). Our text passages cited above show us that it will be Jesus who conducts that final judgment of all men. God the Father will not be present at that judgment, and one saying from Jesus tells us that: "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God" (Mat. 5:8). Only the pure in heart will ever see God because God will not be at the White throne judgment, and the wicked will not go to the new earth, which is where God will be. The wicked will be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone after they are judged, and only the righteous, who are those that are pure in heart, will go to the new earth to meet the Father. "And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea... And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God" (Rev. 21:1,3). The reason that God has given it to his Son to reside over the judgment of all men is because Jesus became a man, and he IS a man.

God is not a man and therefore he will not judge the world directly by himself. Jesus earned the right to judge all men because he lived as a man in this world, and was without sin. That is why he is the "one mediator between God and men," because he was and is a man (I Tim. 2:5). That is why Jesus had to come to this world and become human, because only by becoming one of us could he be our Redeemer. The apostle Paul clarified this for us: "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons" (Gal. 4:4,5). God could not have come here and become a human, so he sent his Son in his stead. God is simply too high, too immoveable, and too set apart from all that exists; to have left heaven, become a man, or died. Jesus did all of the above in his Father's stead, and was in fact God as well, seeing he was begotten directly of the Father (Jn. 1:1; Heb. 1:5). Before Jesus left heaven he was purely God because he was directly begotten wholly of the Father's substance. Therefore he couldn't be anything other than God, unlike everyone else in heaven and Earth; who were actually created by himself (Jn. 1:3; Eph. 3:9; Col. 1:16). In fact God did not directly create anything, but rather he created all things by the Son. So Jesus became a man bodily but inside of him there was only holy Spirit, not human spirit. So he was God spiritually, but man physically.

Jesus was born without sin because sin is in the spirit of man, and the spirit of a person comes from their earthly fathe, as the Bible shows us (I Cor. 15:22; Heb. 7:9,10). That is why he had to be born apart from male instrumentality, so that he would be born apart from sin. Jesus had to become a man in order to pay the price of death for all men. He could only represent mankind on the cross of Calvary if he was a man. But he also represented his Father in his death, because the scripture tells us that the 'will and testament' of God, which was depicted by the old covenant law, could not be enforced and released to men until the testator was dead. God was the testator of his own will, but God could not possibly die, so it was given to 'God the Son' to die in his place. The apostle explained: "For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth" (Heb. 9:16,17). So Jesus came from heaven to become a human so that he could do what was needed to reconcile humanity unto God. But he also remained God as well, and thereby represented his Father in all things that were needed in order to bring that reconciliation about. WOW!!! Truly there is no one else like Jesus in all of existence! He rose from the dead in his human body that was crucified, and when he went back to heaven it was that same human body that was glorified with the same divine substance of holy Spirit that comprised the body he had before he left heaven.

Having risen from the dead as a man, he also opened the door for us to raise from the dead likewise (I Cor. 15:20-23). His human body did not go away when he returned to heaven, but rather it was glorified. That is how and why he is still a man. He is the only God-Man in existence, being God in spirit, and both God and man in body. Again I say, WOW!!! So the reason it will be Jesus who judges all men in the last day of judgment, is the same exact reason that it was he who was born of the virgin, and he who died at Calvary, and he who raised from the dead and was glorified in heaven; and is the one mediator between God and men. Because he became a man, and he lived, died, and rose from the dead as a man. And he did all of it for us, and for his Father. God is not a man, was never a man, and could not have become a man. This is why he will not be present at the White throne judgment, and that is why only those who have honored and submitted to his Son will ever have the privilege of even seeing him. As Jesus said in our first two text verses, which I will copy again: "For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him." I believe all that is left is... Amen! Oh yeah, and.. Praise God for Jesus!!
