Believe In Miracles?

With all of its zeal for miracles and spiritual gifts, there is one miracle that the body of Christ has chosen to disbelieve, and it just so happens that it is the only miracle that is necessary for salvation. That is to literally get rid of sin from the inner man. Being literally and fully delivered from sin is the only miracle that really matters, so it is no marvel that Satan does not mind anyone believing every miracle except for true holiness. In fact, every miracle that could be wrought by the power of God is pointing the way to that one miracle that is necessary for the salvation of the soul. The scripture plainly states that “the wages of sin is DEATH" (Rom. 6:23). And Jesus plainly said, "whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall NEVER DIE. Believest thou this?" (Jn. 11:26) So how do you answer that question friend? Do you believe that? Consider that if the wages of sin is death, and whoever truly believes on Jesus shall never die, then that can only mean that true faith in Jesus delivers from sin, and that we must be without sin in order to be saved. The ‘death’ that is the wage for sin has to include the ‘second death,’ for we know that everyone dies the physical death, including true believers; though that death will be reversed for believers at the second coming of Jesus when he raises the dead. But for UNbelievers there will also be a second death, which is by biblical definition, "the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone" (Rev. 21:8). So the whole sin issue becomes very serious, as you can see by what we have already shown from the scriptures. I know that people will say that they believe in deliverance from sin, but will also turn around in the next breath and prove that they do not. One thing is certain my friend, you CANNOT attain to what you DO NOT believe you can do. That is impossible. So where does this overriding mindset of not being able to be totally free from the very nature of sin come from? It comes from Satan, and he has managed to perpetrate it through a host of modern Christian traditions. The scripture plainly states that the holy Ghost is what washes away sin from our soul, and subsequently sanctifies and justifies us (Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 6:11; Tit. 3:5). It is just as plain in the scripture that receiving the Spirit of God is the same thing as being baptized with the Spirit with the accompanying sign of speaking with tongues (Jn. 16:7; Acts 1:4,5; Acts 2:1-4; Acts 19:1-6).

Modern Christianity has dictated to God’s people the false new birth doctrine of "getting saved,” with subheadings of “accepting the Lord as your personal savior,” “confessing Jesus as Lord,” “praying the sinners prayer,” and “joining the church;” all of which so called born again methodologies precede the baptism of the Spirit, wherever the Spirit baptism is allowed for at all. Now the Bible clearly states that the Spirit baptism, which is always evidenced by God’s provided sign of speaking with other tongues, is the only way into the one body of Christ (I Cor. 12:13; Eph. 4:4,5). And we have already seen that the Spirit baptism is what truly takes away sin and provides new birth (II Cor. 5:17; I Cor. 12:13). So if the baptism of the holy Ghost, according to the scriptures, is the experience of the remission of sins, and birth into the kingdom of God; then what are these teachings that say you obtain the born again experience BEFORE being baptized with the Spirit? They are lies, and they are lies that cannot be found or proven from the scriptures; that’s what they are. Very simply stated, Jesus did NOT suffer, die, raise from the dead, and ascend to heaven, so that man would still be in the same spiritual condition as he was BEFORE he came and did these things. So if the experience that truly takes away sin is demoted to a secondary experience for the supposed already born again believer, then what do you think that does to the faith of a believer in regard to being able to be fully delivered from sin? Obviously a false new birth cannot truly deliver the heart and soul from sin, and the very experience that DOES remove sin has been disesteemed as something less than the new birth; so it is inevitable that the end result is a crippled faith about being fully delivered from sin. Sound like confusion? Well, that’s because it IS confusion! And my friend, confusion and faith never get along well. But if we commit to believing the real truth, and forsake falsehood, then we will get real results. In this arena we had better get real results, that is if we plan on attaining to eternal life (Rom. 8:13,14; Heb. 12:14; Rev. 20:6). Amen.
