I'm still thinking about the things that I posted yesterday in this venue. I mentioned that it hurts God's people to observe natural ordinances, and diminishes them spiritually, as the apostle Paul also stated in Galatians 5:4: "Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace." So then, what is it about the observance of natural ordinances of any kind that is hurtful to the spiritual well being of God's people? Here it is: Every natural ordinance that was given under the law, ranging from the passover the night that Israel left Egypt, to water baptism which was given to John the Baptist at the end of the old covenant; were all SYMBOLIZING what Jesus was going to FULFILL in order to establish the REALITY and SUBSTANCE that those ordinances SYMBOLIZED. Most of the old covenant ceremonial ordinances did not speak audibly of their purpose, but John spoke for ALL of them when he spoke of the one that God ordained him to administer: "There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost" (Mk. 1:7,8). He also let it be known again that his work and his baptism was only to lead to Jesus and to HIS baptism: "I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me... And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending , and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost" (Jn. 1:26,27,33). And again he clarified that his work was all about what Jesus came to provide [the holy Ghost baptism, as John said]: "He must increase, but I must decrease" (Jn. 3:30). When John spoke these things, indicating the fulfillment of the law that Jesus came to accomplish, he spoke for ALL of the ceremonial law, and to these things Jesus and the apostle Paul agreed as well (Mat. 5:17; Acts 1:4,5; Rom. 10:4). What a shame his voice, nor the voice of the apostle Paul, who taught the fufillment of the law to the gentiles, has still not been heard. Not to mention Jesus. To this day God's people observe natural ordinances such as water baptism, so called "communion" services, foot washing, and other such things. And to this day the body of Christ remains crippled, divided, without power, without true love and peace, and without remedy for the above.

Now here is the problem with all of this my friend, and here is where the body of Christ has been greatly injured by giving honor to these ceremonial ordinances: It is not possible to attribute godly regard to symbolic ordinances that Jesus suffered, died, and rose again to fulfill in us after a spiritual order; without TAKING AWAY honor from Jesus, and what he DID suffer and die for (Eph. 2:14-16; Col. 2:13,14). Just like you cannot ADD your own or someone else's interpretation of the scriptures, without taking away from the true divine understanding of what is written. It can't be done. And the observance and honor for the symbolic ordinances of the law absolutely diminishes the godly regard of God's people for Jesus and for the whole reason that he came here. The dictation of observing natural ordinances to God's people in fact have caused the body of Christ to give MORE honor to the ceremonies than they do for the very Spirit of grace that has fulfilled them. I've seen it first hand for over thirty one years. Oh yeah, you can ask any Pentecostal believer what Acts 2:38 says, and they will tell you straight up. Ask them what I Corinthians 12:13 says, and you will draw a blank just about every time. Or try asking someone what Ephesians 4:5 says. Trust me, they will not know the answer. In fact just mention the word baptism around God's people, and 99.9% of the time [at least], water is what will come to mind. Yet Jesus did not die for water baptism, but he DID die to be able to baptize you and I personally with the spiritual, heavenly baptism that fulfilled water baptism, and really gets the work done in the heart and soul! Mention the word communion and everybody pictures passing around a tray with crackers and grape juice. Yet Jesus did not suffer and die so that we would continue a ceremony [the passover - last supper] that never connected anyone to God, but he DID die and raise from the dead to provide something that ABSOLUTELY DOES connect the heart and soul of a true believer to the heart and soul of him and his father!! (Jn. 17:22,23; Rev. 3:20). Paul called it "the communion of the holy Ghost" (II Cor. 13:14). We need to "lay aside [these weights]" that have long hindered and divided God's people, and move on with the leading of his Spirit into more of his love, unity, power, and truth; and truly give all honor to Jesus for what he has really done. I can tell you that this writing has been done with a powerful move of zeal and of sorrow in the holy Ghost for the despite that has been done to everything Jesus suffered and died for. I pray that the things that are written here will find their mark. Amen.
