He Never Changes

This is going to be a foolish question for most of the folks reading this note, hopefully everyone. But humor me please, and I think you’ll see the benefit. Has God ever really done something for you that you are absolutely certain that it was him who did it? Maybe answered a seriously needy prayer. Or maybe he gave you healing in your body for something. Or he maybe interceded in a situation on the behalf of yourself or a loved one. Or you got a real spiritual touch from his hand that made a distinct difference for you. The list goes on, but you get it. Many are saying ‘amen’ to all of these things, and all I can say about that is praise God!! Well the point is this, and it is absolute in simplicity and power: If God has ever done anything for you to make some kind of improvement in any way, I have seriously good news for you! That one thing is all you need to take you from here to glory! And how is that? Because he never changes!! “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Heb. 13:8). Whooooo! How I feel that! My friend, if you are certain of one good thing that God has done for you, then you can positively and totally trust that that is what he is all about: your good and well being!! Oh my goodness! Are you kidding me?! Is it really that good, and that simple?! Oh yeah!! It’s even better and more simplistic than that, because as an old song says, “The half has never yet been told.” But I can tell you that the half plus that’s never been told is even better than the little bit that has been. Remember this above all things: God is good!! And he is for your good. That’s right, whatever he has done for you, you can be assured that that is his will for you - good!

We know what John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world…” And that is absolutely right. He loves you, so love him back. The scripture says that “this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous" (I Jn. 5:3). Romans 8:28 says that "all things work together for good for those who love God…” If we make abiding in his righteousness our top priority, then nothing can work against us. So will bad things happen if we love God and do his will? Of course, we’re in a bad world. But if we hold fast to him, he will make the bad things turn to our good, across the board. A few verses later in Romans 8 we are told, “If God be for us, who can be against us”? (Rom. 8:31) If we truly entrust ourselves to his care, and really trust in him fully, we just cannot lose. And so goes another old Gospel song, “Victory in Jesus!” It’s just so glorious to know the reality of his goodness toward us, and to really be able to rest in that assurance, though that rest may come at the cost of much laboring in prayer. Whatever you do my friend, don't ever give up your hope in Jesus, for he alone is hope, and help. Don’t ever accept any feeling, thought, or any other thing that would have you believe otherwise. He is for you. Period. He is there for you. Period. He will absolutely help you like none other possibly could. Period. And he will always be there for the same (Heb.13:5). Period! If you fail, then come clean and humble yourself before him. He will redeem you, and deliver you, and bring you into blessing (Mat. 18:22; I Jn. 1:9). Yes friend, it is a beautiful and wonderful thing beyond comprehension, that God never changes. Do not allow that glory, and beauty, and wonder, pass you by or get away from you. God bless.
