Today I have a repeat post that was first put up a couple of years ago. It is as simplistic to the point as it can possibly be, but thank God it will never be outdated. If we can get it down like this post states, we will be blessed indeed.

Man has destroyed himself, his fellow man, and the world he lives in; by seeking only his own worldly gain of one kind or another, and being uncaring and unfeeling for his neighbor. Jesus gave us the only prescription for true success in this life in these words: "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets" (Mat. 7:12). "For this is the law and the prophets" means that it is the will of God. Pretty simple, right? Yes it's simple, and easy as well, but man just doesn't believe. Because he remains blind to God, and resistant to the design that God made for him to live in, he has not, and cannot prosper. Every kingdom and every empire that this world has ever produced has fallen, and that because man refuses to live and abide compliantly under God's dominion, for his own good. I see it everywhere; in business, in government, in community, in family, and yes, in the body of Christ. Man just has to have things his own way, and the result can only be hardness of heart, self destruction, and the hurt of all those whom he effects. Solomon made the same observation in his day: "Lo , this only have I found , that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions [for their own gain]" (Eccl. 7:29).

The apostle Paul admonished the Philippians with the following words: "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others" (Philip. 2:3,4). "Better than themselves?" That's exactly right, and that is how the mind of Christ thinks, as Paul expressed in the very next verse of that writing: "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus" (Philip. 2:5). That way of thinking and feeling was a reality to the great apostle, as it was to Jesus, and as it is now with those who are real with God. Sadly the real sincerity of that mindset is more foreign to this world than the most distant star. And if you want to know what is wrong with the body of Christ, just check what is wrong with the world. God's people have always been influenced by what the rest of the world is doing, and today is no exception. You see, faith and the love of God in a person will lead them to do unto others as they would have done to them; firstly because it is what they want to do, and secondly because they believe and know that what they do unto others will come back to them (Gal. 6:6-10; Gal. 3:23-25). What a world it would be my friend if only everyone would just believe God, and live in his design. God bless.
