2 John Chapter 1:

6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

My observation on Facebook is that many who profess faith in Christ allow themselves to be too close to Muslims. The thing you would understand is that this passage is speaking specifically of a religion like Islam, because Islam pointedly declares that Jesus is NOT the Christ, and that he is not the Son of God; and also that he did not die for our sins, or raise from the dead. Someone might say, "Well this passage is talking about people who don't believe that Jesus was here as a person." My answer to that is that Islam does NOT teach that Jesus came here from heaven, but rather that he was a great prophet like the prophets of old. Also, this same John, the beloved apostle, tells us in his first epistle what it is that constitutes 'antichrist' religion: "Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also" (I Jn. 2:22,23). Now that my friend is the exact description of the entire purpose of Islam, which is to pervert both the person and the purpose of Christ. In fact the people whom Mohammed, the false prophet of Islam, came from are the very people that John was writing about here.

They were the believing Jews who erred from the faith, and left the teaching and leadership of the apostles, and went about subverting Gentile congregations established by the apostle Paul, to submit to the carnal ordinances of the old testament (Acts 15:1,2; Gal. 1:6,7; Gal. 4:9,10; Gal. 5:2-4; II Cor. 11:3,4,13-15). If you read those scriptures that I've references there you will see that Paul spoke of 'another Gospel,' and also of 'another Jesus.' The 'false apostles' and 'false prophets' that Paul and John wrote about, as well as the 'false teachers' that Peter and Jude wrote of; were these very men that troubled the Gentile believers, intimidating them into believing that that had to keep the natural ceremonial ordinances of the law in order to be saved Acts 15,1,2).. They were known as the 'Ebionites,' and Mohammed came from Ebionites. In exalting the ceremonies of the law above Christ, who fulfilled the law, they left "the faith that was once delivered to the saints," and that is why Jude implored those in his day to strengthen themselves in that very faith (Jude 1:3). In leaving the true faith these people also denied everything that Jesus is, and everything he did for us. The grand result of that blasphemy is the so called 'religion' of Islam, which changes Jesus into 'another Jesus' who is NOT the Jesus of the Bible.

If you fear God, and you want to be in fellowship with the men who wrote the new testament scriptures, I strongly advise that you read the above passage of scripture again, as well as this short article, along with the scriptures I have references but did not cite. One more thing: If you are a young believing woman, and you entertain Muslim guys who may message you, understand that you are flirting with utter destruction. It's called 'the blasphemy of the holy Ghost,' and that blasphemy is exactly what this article shows that those first false apostles did, and what they tried to get other believers to do. Specifically that is to dismiss the faith of Christ for who he is, after having been once redeemed by that faith. That is why John said to not entertain anyone who is of that kind of blasphemous persuasion, and not to wish them well either. John was not advocating some malicious hated of human beings, but rather the love of Christ, and the hatred for anything that denies who he is and what he has done for us. I for one do heartily 'second the motion' of the beloved apostle, as I do all of the apostles who shared his understanding of these things. Amen.
