Resurrection and Salvation

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls... Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear... Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you" (From I Pet. 1). Yes, I must affirmatively say that I am in absolute agreement with the apostle Peter when he stated in the final verse of this chapter that "THIS IS the word which by the gospel is preached unto you." All I can say is, IS IT EVER!! I have copied the biggest part of I Pet. 1 here, and let me just highlight what the mighty apostle has told us, and show how it is SO contrary to the "Christian" gospel of today. First of all he makes it crystal clear that anyone who is hoping to inherit eternal life is going to have to be "KEPT by the power of God." What do you suppose the power of God is supposed to keep us FROM? SIN of course, "For the wages of sin is death" (Rom. 6:23). This eternal inheritance, which he describes as being "incorruptible, and undefiled;" was actually seen in a vision by the apostle John, who made another candid statement about it: "And there shall in no wise ENTER INTO IT any thing [anybody] that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie" (Rev. 21:27). You have to admit, it does make sense that if it is an undefiled place, it should only allow undefiled people to come in. But Christianity boldly declares, "We're ALL just sinners, but we're SAAAAAAAVED by grace.... ANYWAY!" Either Peter and John are wrong, or a whole bunch of folks are wrong today. What do you think?

Next up Peter makes it even MORE clear, and repetitively at that, that "salvation" is what we will "receive [at] the END of our faith," IF we prove faithful through our trials, and are "found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ." That IS what the man said my friend. No, it DOESN'T sound like ANYTHING that is taught ANYWHERE in Christianity today, does it? Christianity universally says that we "receive salvation" at the BEGINNING of our faith in Jesus, so once again somebody has got the Bible and the gospel of Christ ALL WRONG!! Do you think it's the Bible that is wrong, or is it the way religious folks today are TEACHING the Bible that's all messed up? Anyway, just for good measure, Peter also reminds us that the only way we are going to be saved at the Lord's second coming is by being OBEDIENT to HIS will in holiness, and by NOT being like the mind and spirit of this world. But Christianity paints a much sweeter picture, telling you that you're "forgiven of all past, present, and future sins; and you have a home in heaven that NOBODY can take away." But where is the part about obeying God's holy will in that? The candy apple gospel of Christianity has conveniently omitted those details. It has also REALLY omitted the next detail that Peter hammers down. The fear of the Lord is without question the most omitted element of the gospel of Christ in today's religious landscape, but this great apostle makes it very certain that fearing God is inseparable from the true hope of salvation. He also makes it plainly known why God is to be feared, and that is because God's people will surely be judged according to their works; and that God is not a "respecter of persons," meaning of his own people. To these things the apostle Paul agreed as well: "For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge HIS people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God" (Heb. 10:30,31). No wonder the same apostle Paul admonished us to "work out [our] own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philip. 2:12). But Christianity's version of "God is love," means that God is not to be feared, but rather just respected. Christianity is lying my friend, and I hope that you are not listening to its lies, or that you cease from doing so after reading this sobering account of Bible truth. Next Peter lets us know in no uncertain terms that the only thing acceptable to God is a heart that has been truly purified from sin by the power of God's Spirit, which purifying will result in "unfeigned love of the brethren." Where is "sinners saved by grace" in THAT? That's right, where is "We're all just sinners" in THAT STATEMENT?? If you're honest, and I trust that you are, you are seeing what Christianity looks like when its flimsy cover gets pulled off. It looks really filthy in the sight of God my friend, and also in the sight of those who are honest and true WITH God. And last but not least we see by Peter's writing what the word of God truly is, and it is NOT the Bible. As the apostle Paul affirms in Heb. 4:12, Peter tells us that the word of God is something that "lives and abides forever." And what would that be? Well, it isn't anything written on paper, I can tell you that. It is the ETERNAL SPIRIT of God, even as the scriptures repeatedly confirm to us (II Sam. 23:2; Job 26:13; Prov. 1:23; Acts 6:10; I Cor. 2:10; Eph. 6:17; Rev. 2:7; etc.). If you don't feel like looking up all those references, then just look here at the last one I listed, which is from Jesus; which also gives me a very good concluding point to this article: "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the SPIRIT SAITH unto the [congregations]" (Rev. 2:7 - again).
