Don’t Be a Tare

There is a point that I would like to make today about the parable of the wheat and the tares, and it puts a dagger in the soft underbelly of the modern Christian Gospel; which has just plainly eliminated the fear of the Lord. We will pick up with the explanation of the parable by Jesus: “He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear” (Mat. 13:37-43). Now at first glance one will say that “the children of the wicked one” are the unconverted unbelievers of this world who were never born again. That is certainly what the complacent, ease minded spirit of this world would have us think. But let’s remember that this is the same Jesus who told Jews that were in covenant with God, whom he acknowledged were the seed of Abraham, and also whom the scripture says confessed faith in Jesus; that they were actually children of the devil (Jn. 8:30,31,37,38,43,44). Go ahead and read the referenced passage if you don’t believe my report.

As we should always do with the scriptures, we need only read a little further to see that he was NOT talking about people who were never born again, but rather those who had become by their deeds “the children of the wicked one.” In verse 41, speaking of the tares, he plainly states, “they [the angels] shall gather OUT OF HIS KINGDOM all things that offend, and them which do iniquity.” Whose kingdom was he talking about, you may ask? As the earlier part of the verse states, “The Son of Man.” And Jesus himself spoke very clearly on how anyone can get into the kingdom of God: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (Jn. 3:3; Acts 1:8; Rom. 14:17; I Cor. 4:20). So one cannot be cast OUT of God’s kingdom unless he had first been “born again” INTO that kingdom. So then, it becomes abundantly clear that there will be those who DID experience the new birth who will lose out in the end because they did NOT continue in the state of holiness that they began in, which agrees altogether with the scriptures (Mat. 24:12,13; Rom. 11:21,22; Heb. 12:14). And without refute the baptism of the holy Ghost with the accompanying sign of speaking in tongues is the only new birth set forth in the Bible, and thereby the only way INTO the kingdom of God (Jn. 7:38; Jn. 16:7; Acts 1:4,5; Acts 2:4; Acts 2:33; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 15:8; Rom. 8:9; I Cor. 6:11; I Cor. 12:13; II Cor. 5:17; Tit. 3:5). For those who are not familiar with my ministry, but are rather influenced by the traditions of Christianity, go ahead and do the math on those references as well. Just do it slowly and honestly, and you will see there is only one possible sum total.

The point of the matter is, as I often set forth in these posts and in my ministry elsewhere, we have every reason to “fear God, and [diligently] keep his commandments;” because if we fail to finish our course in that mode, we will surely be in the number of those who are “gathered out of his kingdom… [and are] cast into a furnace of fire,” as the parable states (Eccl. 12:13). The reason I write and preach on these sobering Bible truths continually is because the watered down ‘Gospel’ of today has polluted the true Gospel to such an extent that the truth has just been totally drowned by its deluge of “vain words” in the name of Christ (Eph. 5:6). I am compelled by God’s Spirit of truth to do what my predecessors have done, such as Jude; who saw the defilement of the Gospel in his day: “It was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for THE FAITH which was once delivered unto the saints… I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day” (Jd. 1:3,5,6). So why did Jude feel it necessary to remind the saints about those who were lost because they did not continue in their faith as they had begun? For the same reason that I write and minister so much on Bible truths that were meant to instill God’s fear into the hearts of those whom he has redeemed - So that they will STAY redeemed, and be saved. Seems like a good reason to me. Amen.
