Anything that you are in need of from God, you can get. You don't have to be in any set circumstances that you might feel that you need to be in, in order to obtain what you need from him. All you need is to have faith in God. When I first started out with the Lord I needed miraculous deliverance from drug addiction, alcoholism, anger, cursing, and depression. I couldn't quit any of those things. I had been doing them for too long and I was too much conditioned to them to be able to quit on my own. After going to a little Pentecostal mission for about a month I went home one night and got down on my hands and knees before God, and I let him know that if he wanted me to serve him, I needed miracle deliverance from these vices and conditions. It was the first really real prayer I had prayed in many years, and I let the Lord know that I meant business. In fact I used those very words, "Tonight I really mean business." It was about a five minute prayer. I didn't get loud, I didn't get excited, I didn't cry; I just believed that he heard me. I went to bed and the next morning the Lord reminded me of my prayer and let me know it had been answered. And answered it was! There was nothing left in me that wanted to do any of those things, and there was a new peace at the core of my being that had replaced the constant craving for those things that I had been under bondage to. No one had ever laid hands on me, and no one else was praying for me to be delivered from those conditions. It was just me and Jesus, and he heard and answered my prayer. It was that simple for me, and it is that simple for you. He stands by to show you that he is indeed "a very present help in trouble" (Psm. 46:1).

Jesus said, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray , believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them" (Mk. 11:24). He also said this: "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mk. 9:23). Jesus also said the following: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" (Mat. 18:20). Well, I've got some good news for you: Where there is ONE 'gathered' in his name, he is in the midst of him or her also! Praise God! If you are looking to the Lord, and he is your help and your strength, you are NEVER alone my friend. As I said, nobody had laid hands on me at any time before I received that miraculous deliverance from the Lord. But when HE laid his hands on me I was DELIVERED, and I mean BIG TIME! Whatever you are in much need of today, I assure you that Jesus will hear your heart's request about it. He hasn't changed since that night in December 1980 when I made my needy petition known to him, and he is not a respecter of persons. What he did for me, he will do for you; whatever the need may be. He wants to lighten your load, so go ahead and turn it over to him, whatever it is. Do it now. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest... For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Mat. 11:28,30). I know what I'm talking about my friend, because I've given him thousands of burdens since that night, and he has never turned my need away. Neither will he turn your need away, only be honest, humble, and believing. Like an old hymn says, "Just reach out and touch the Lord, as he goes by. You will find he's not too busy to hear your heart's cry. He is passing by this moment, all your needs he will supply; So reach out and touch the Lord, as he goes by." God bless.
