"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof" (Psm. 19:1-6). In fact the same thing can be said about any and every facet of the creation that God has made. It simply has no choice BUT to glorify God, and to speak loudly of his goodness and grace. "For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse" (Rom. 1:20). God has not made it hard for man to find him, and actually he has made it crystal clear and easy. Every single aspect of God's creation teaches truth to those who have eyes to see. Man's problem is that he is not looking at what is in front of him, as the proverb tells us: "Wisdom is before [in front of] him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth" (Prov. 17:24). And we can add another like saying from Solomon as well, to confirm these things to us: "The wise man's eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness" (Eccl. 2:14). In man's proud ambition for what he thinks to be knowledge, he has overlooked the pure and simplistic goodness, love, and power of God that is all encompassing to his very existence. As the apostle Paul so wisely preached: "That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring" (Acts 17:27,28).

Along with the plain truth and reality of God that is shown forth by the creation, his Spirit also beckons to men to be heard, and to reveal the simplicity of God's wondrous truths: "Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths. She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it" (Prov. 8:1-11). Yet man refuses to get honest, humble, and still enough to hear what God's Spirit of truth is constantly saying. Nonetheless, for those who are willing to meet God on his terms, and have ears to hear, he still today gives beautiful peace and rest (Mat. 11:28; Philip. 4:7). Those terms are to believe fully on his Son Jesus, who died and rose to fill us with his love, and power, and holiness; that we might be one with he and his Father who sent him (Jn. 3:16; Jn. 7:38,39; Jn. 17:21-23; I Cor. 6:17). Truly Jesus is "the way, the truth, and the life: [and] no man cometh unto the Father, but by [him]" (Jn. 14:6). It's all about him, and about what he's done for us: "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them" (Heb. 7:25). It simply doesn't get any better than Jesus. The creation shows it, the Spirit says it, and it is just that way. "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the [congregations]" (Rev. 2:17). Amen.
