Everybody has the truth. I'm guessing that you already know that

Everybody has "the truth." I'm guessing that you already know that. And every Pentecostal affiliation is "the elect." I've seen it for over thirty one years now. Nothing has changed. Everyone is conditioned to believe that the doctrinal creed of their particular sect is the real message from heaven. Okay, fine. But I think that all of these "elects," "brides," "cream of the crops," etc., should take a real honest look at one thing. What kind of fruit is your doctrine producing? After all, that is where it's all at; as Jesus said, and as every writer of the new testament agreed (Mat. 7:20; Gal. 5:22,23; Jas. 3:10-12,18; II Pet. 2:13,14; I Jn. 3:7,8; I Jn. 4:7,8; Jd. 1:12). Take an honest look at your own life and spirit, and without being judgmental take an honest look at the lives and spirits of those in your affiliation. The bottom line is, are you truly delivered from sin, and does true liberty from sin reign in the spirits of the people of the affiliation you are in? Does God's holy love and peace permeate the atmosphere of your life and the lives of those in your affiliation? This is certainly an integral point to consider, according to the revelation that was given to the beloved apostle John regarding those who will see the new Jerusalem: "And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life" (Rev. 2:27).

Now I'm not saying that there is no space for failure in the lives of blelievers. There is . Nobody has ever been born again and then never fallen short. But there is a progressive growth in the love and holiness of God's Spirit in the life of someone who is really following after the truth of God. And there is a world of difference between people persevering in the righteousness of the holy Ghost, sometimes falling short in some way or another; and a congregation of people generally repeating a pattern and cycle of disorder and sin. Of course the first thing someone is going to say is, "What about you?" Well, I wouldn't bother to write something like this unless I knew the reality of being made free and kept free from sin. That is what the real truth does for someone who follows hard after it, as Jesus plainly stated: "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free... Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin... If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" (Jn. 8:31,32,34,36). So there it is my friend. The real issue is whether we are literally free from sin and staying that way. The truth is, EVERY affiliation of Christianity makes allowance for sin simply by being under the wrong doctrines of Christianity, and that presents a very serious consideration which was addressed by the apostle Paul: "But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid" (Gal. 2:17). I think that about says it.
