Is God’s Love Enough?

The scripture says that “the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Rom. 5:5). And I Tim. 1:5 tells us: “Now the end of the commandment is [love] out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.” Then I suppose we can top it all of with this clear statement of Jesus: “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you” (Jn. 15:12). So we can see that having the love of God, and showing it forth in our lives, is what the Gospel is all about. And as our first scripture states, we can only have God’s love dwelling in us by receiving his Spirit, which is the same thing as being baptized with his Spirit with the heavenly sign of speaking with other tongues. I know that’s a hard pill for many to swallow, but it’s the truth nonetheless, and the only way you will ever know the love of God. My question is this: Is feeling that love from the Lord, and feeling it toward others, enough for you? Or are you mixed up in a strange Gospel full of a lot of rules and commandments of men, that only hinder that love in your life? If you don’t know what this divine love feels like, then you need to get more serious and more repentant with God, until it saturates your heart and soul. Our second scripture makes it clear that the result, or bottom line of obeying God’s commandments is having that love dwelling in our hearts purely, with a deeply sincere faith. If you have not been baptized with the Spirit of God with the accompanying witness of speaking in tongues, then dig a little deeper and get a good hold on God and get it. It is not an optional experience, but rather it is the only remission of sins that exists, and the only way to get into the one body of Christ (I Cor. 6:11; I Cor. 12:13). If you have this experience, and you can honestly say that the love of God is not flourishing in your soul and life, then seek God to find out what you need to adjust in your life. It is all but certain that the religious affiliation that you are a part of is working to hinder and choke that love out of your spirit, if indeed you have received it.

There simply is no Christian sect, Pentecostal or otherwise, that is not steeped in the erroneous doctrines and spirit of modern day Christianity. The truth is, there is no other truth than having and distributing the divine, holy love of God. Everything else, if you choose to call it ‘else,’ merely revolves around learning to understand God’s love, so that we can obediently follow after it; so that we can maintain our first estate of having “the love of God shed abroad in our hearts.” All of the traditions, doctrines, ceremonies, carnal rules, etc. that Christianity has “developed,” serve merely to distract from, and subtract from the experience of dwelling wholly in the glorious divine love that is God, that he has so graciously made a way for us to be a partaker of. The true worship and service of God under the new covenant is of a spiritual manner, and is chock full of the love, joy, peace, and rejoicing that is in the power of the holy Ghost. Nothing else counts. Period. Not with God, anyway (Jn. 4:24, Gal. 3:3; Gal. 5:6; Philip. 3:3). I am telling you my friend, in the name of the Lord Jesus, that you need desperately to forsake all of the superfluous religious excess that makes up all of Christianity, and just dive head first into HIM by means of the blessed holy Spirit that you have received, if indeed you have. The imparting of the Spirit of God is the only ‘religion’ if you will, that is of God, or that has been of God for the past 1978 years. Anything and everything else that has cropped up since that time, that has named the name of Christ, and gained acceptance among men; was, is, and will be totally false. And the only reality found in any of it, is in the real testimonies of God’s Spirit and power in the lives of his people who are in Christianity. Nonetheless, these fine folks and their testimonies have been stunted, muffled, and squashed down by the religion that they have been a partaker of. “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage”(Gal. 5:1). Shake loose from the yoke of Christianity my friend, and let the Lord fill your cup to overflow! (Psm. 23:5; I Pet. 1:8) Amen.
