The Love of Jesus

I asked the Lord a few minutes ago to give me something simplistic, powerful, and relatively short, that could edify everyone who reads it. This is what he gave me: Jesus loves you. That’s right, I said Jesus loves you, and that one statement covers a WHOLE LOT of ground. In fact it covers EVERYTHING all of the time. That would also include whatever you are dealing with at this time or may be dealing with in the near future, so remember this: WHATEVER you are having a hard time with will BE ALRIGHT, as long as you trust his love, and let him have it. I mean commit it to him in earnest, believing prayer without reservation or quit. That’s what the scripture says: “Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass” (Psm. 37:3-5). And again, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (I Pet. 5:6-8). The devil wants you to believe that Jesus is NOT going to work everything out for your good like the scripture says he will (Rom. 8:28). He wants to give you a reason why “there’s no use” to committing THIS problem to the Lord with relentless faith. He doesn’t mind if you believe that God has taken care of you in everything else before now, or that he is taking care of everything for everyone ELSE who is trusting him. He just wants to make sure you have a ‘good’ reason to feel like your particular situation that you are now in is NOT going to work out well. The truth is that it is IMPOSSIBLE for whatever you are dealing with to work out any other way THAN FOR YOUR GOOD, if you will entrust it to the Lord and follow through with it in the faith of his love, and power, and care for you. The devil is a liar, a thief, a plunderer, and a murderer; and he wants to inflict all of those things on you and I (Jn. 8:44: Jn. 10:10). The good news is that he is already a defeated enemy, and if we truly abide in Jesus he can do nothing to us at all unless Jesus allows it for our growth and our good. The REALLY GOOD NEWS is that God’s care for us applies universally, across the board for ALL who will trust in Jesus, at all times; and in ALL THINGS! For, “Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Heb. 13:8).

It truly is 'win win’ when it comes to real faith and faithfulness toward God, by means of Jesus Christ his Son. Oh it is so beautiful my friend! There is not one weakness, sin, failure, error, or any other negative thing that could effect us; that Jesus did not die for and pay the price for us to have forgiveness for, deliverance from, and power to overcome (I Jn. 1:9; Acts 1:8; Rev. 21:7). There is not one physical infirmity of any kind that is not included in the clause of, “With his stripes we are healed” (Isa. 53:5; I Pet. 2:24). So everything is going to be okay my friend, only persevere in faith and prayer, and DO NOT believe any of the devil’s lies about how things are ‘just different’ with your present situation. Believe this rather: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” (I Cor. 10:13). Believe this also, because this is what God is working in our lives if we will just stay out of his way and let him work: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls” (I Pet. 1:3-9). One last but important thing to keep in mind: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Gal. 6:9). So don’t find ANY reason to give up on God, or on you; because Jesus is committed to you for the long haul. PERIOD! and AMEN!
