The Beginning

"But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth UNTO ME that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, FROM EVERLASTING" (Mic. 5:2). "The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up [anointed] from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was" (Prov. 8:22,23). "In the BEGINNING was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made" (Jn. 1:1-3). "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of EVERY CREATURE: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is BEFORE ALL THINGS, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the [congregation]: who IS the beginning" (Col. 1:15-18). "When there were no depths, I was brought forth [begotten]; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth" (Prov. 8:24,25). "These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, THE BEGINNING of the creation of God" (Rev. 3:14). "And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things BY Jesus Christ" (Eph. 3:9).

"And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after our likeness" (Gen. 1:26). "When HE prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth… Then I was BY HIM, as one brought up WITH him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him" (Prov. 8:27:30). "Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom HE HATH APPOINTED heir of all things, BY WHOM also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of his power… But unto the Son He [God] saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even THY GOD, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows" (Heb. 1:2,3,8,9). So the simplicity of these scriptures show us that Jesus Christ was begotten by God before anything else in heaven or earth existed, and that the Son created all things that exist, by the Father’s instruction. We also see that both the Father and the Son are persons, because the Son is "the express image of [the Father’s] person." We also see that the Son is also God, though obviously he is lesser God than the Father, who anointed him "with the oil of gladness." And last but not least we see that the Son is the "express image" [replica] of the Father, which means the Father has a body of his own because the Son has a body of his own. Amen.
