Life on Other Planets?

I don’t think so my friends. Why? The Bible doesn’t tell us directly, but I’ll tell you why I believe this, and how what I think about it is in accordance with the scriptures. In my mind, it’s all about God making man in his own image (Gen. 1:26; Jas. 3:9). And it is also about God being a lover of simplicity and order (Rom. 12:8; II Cor. 1:12; II Cor.11:3). God was ruler over a vast heavenly kingdom before creating the heavens and earth that we know. Angels, cherubim, seraphim, and no telling what else we have no idea about, were all in his heavenly host. When he created man he gave him dominion over a vast array of earthly plant and animal life, in the likeness of his own dominion in heaven. In understanding this simple reality, if there were life anywhere else in the universe, it would have to be men. It simply would make no sense at all for there to be another life form in the universe that is not directly under the dominion of man. Otherwise what point would there be in God making man in his own image, and putting him over a vast dominion like unto his own? It would be confusion, something that the scriptures tell us that God does not author (I Cor. 14:33). No, God is not trying to trick anyone about the creation. Proverbs 17:24 says, “Wisdom is before [in front of] him that hath understanding ; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.” Indeed it is foolish to constantly look for mysteries that would confuse and contradict the simplicity of reality and truth that is right in front of us and all around us. As I’ve already stated, what is right in front of us is a world that was created after a pattern of heavenly things; and God has made man in his image and given him dominion over the world, even as he has dominion over the heavenly world. What he has done and shown us is easy as 1,2,3… abc, why should we complicate simplicity?

God obviously derives much pleasure from his dealings with man, at least with those who love and fear him [Does that really need referencing?]. He has invested greatly into the well being of man, even though man has stubbornly pursued his own destruction of old time. He has gone as far as sending his only begotten Son from heaven to suffer and die, paying the only price that God would accept, for the hope of reconciling man to himself. He has suffered long with man after sending a worldwide flood to destroy him from the earth, approximately 1600 years after creation. He suffered long with Israel’s disobedience for over 1300 years under the old covenant. And he has suffered the body of Christ in a crippled state for almost two millennium. Do I believe that he has done the same with some supposed parallel world or worlds? Of course not. As I’ve already stated, I don’t believe that God is trying to fool anybody about anything. Are there many things that we have no knowledge of whatsoever? Absolutely! It just wouldn’t make sense, and would be contrary to the simplicity of truth that he HAS revealed to us, for life to exist anywhere else in the universe. In making us and this world after his image and the image of his world, we can see that it is really senseless to believe he would make another world and another life form that is not consistent with what is in his image. There IS nothing else but what is in his image! Many times, usually when traveling and quietly observing the vastness of plant and animal life that I’ve seen in this world; the Spirit of God has impressed upon me that the difference between the world we live in and every other world, is life, and a WHOLE LOT OF IT! I believe we should just give thanks to God for the life we have, and for the life that characterizes the world we live in; and live our lives for him with simplicity of godly love and holiness, hoping for that world where there will be no form of life that ever ceases.
