Secret Rapture?

"For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto THE coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (I Thess. 4:14-17). "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also THE coming of the Son of man be… Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And THEN SHALL APPEAR the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall SEE the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other" (Mat. 24:27,29-31). “Behold, he cometh with clouds; and EVERY EYE SHALL SEE HIM, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen” (Rev. 1:7). "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed" (I Cor. 15:51,52). “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, WHEN HE SHALL APPEAR, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is” (I Jn. 3:2). “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself” (Philip. 3:20,21).

Friend, as you can plainly see, we are looking at a number of scriptural passages here that are totally consistent and in agreement with one another about THE second coming of the Lord, and about his elect being caught up to meet him and clothed with glorified, immortal bodies (II Cor. 5:1-4). Read these passages slowly, honestly and carefully, comparing them with one another, and I’m certain that you will see that there is absolutely no secret rapture to take place before Jesus comes from heaven with power and great glory; at which time everyone on earth will see him. He will obviously APPEAR when he comes from heaven, and as the scripture states, that is when the bride that has “made herself ready” will be caught up to meet him (Rev. 19:7). Any scriptures that by themselves appear to be implying a rapture before the second coming of the Lord cannot overturn the consistent evidence in the Bible that there is only one “catching up” of God’s elects souls to meet the Lord, and that is most certainly AT his second coming. And enough of this nonsense about “the elect” being taken in the early rapture, and the believers who aren’t ready being left behind to be “purged by the tribulation.” There is absolutely nothing like that in the Bible. NOTHING. And in regard to the only true ‘rapture,’ which actually is called “the first resurrection” in the Bible; there are some requirements: "And every man that hath THIS hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure" (I Jn. 3:3). “Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, WITHOUT SPOT, and blameless” (II Pet. 3:14). “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” (Rev. 20:6). “If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, IF THAT I MAY apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I COUNT NOT MYSELF TO HAVE APPREHENDED: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philip. 3:11-14).
