Looking For Sanity?

Have you noticed that the whole world is just absolutely insane? I sure have. That is simply what has to happen when a person, a nation, a world goes further and further in the opposite direction from doing the will of God. I would like for you to take a look at the following passage from the apostle Paul: "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ" (I Cor. 2:14-16). The "natural man" that he speaks of here is everyone who is "carnally minded" as the same apostle refers to in Rom. 8:6.That is all who are not being "led by the Spirit of God," which the same apostle stated in Rom. 8:14. So unless you have the holy Ghost and are being led and taught by it, you just don't have a clue as to the reality of things that can only be seen by someone who DOES have the Spirit, and IS being led thereby. That is who the "spiritual man" is that is mentioned in the above passage, and that is who possesses the "mind of Christ." The mind of Christ is only acquired by our continuance in dying out to sin, and thereby being "transformed by the renewing of [our] mind"(Rom. 12:2). As the scripture states, the "natural man" thinks that the real truths and wisdom of God are foolishness because he is blind to them, and people will naturally "speak evil of the things that they understand not" (II Pet. 2:12). But for those who die to sin by the power of the holy Ghost, the following saying is fulfilled: "For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God" (Col. 3:3). This is what the apostle meant when he said "he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man." Someone with the mind of the Spirit can see the reality of things, and can also see the blindness of those who are carnally minded; yet none who are carnally minded can see where the spiritual man is, because his life is literally HIDDEN with Christ in God. There simply is no real sanity apart from having the mind of Christ. Period.

I see sooo many people, especially young people, literally wandering aimlessly about; not having even the slightest notion of what they want or where they are going. And even those who have direction as far as the things of this life, are still without a clue as to what the true reality of this life is about. Friend, the ONLY reality about this life is what Solomon, by inspiration of the holy Ghost declared: "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man" (Eccl. 12:13). And why is it that fearing God and doing his will is "the WHOLE duty of man?" "For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil"(Eccl. 12:14). Anyone who is not "seeking FIRST the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;" is just plainly insane in the sight of God, regardless of intellect, education, or worldly state. In fact, the more intelligent and educated a carnally minded individual is, the more insane they become; because the more inclined they are to trust in their own judgment, which we have seen here by the scriptures is void of true understanding. Everyone who is not "purifying [their] heart, even as he [Christ] is pure," has no chance whatsoever to know what is going on at all I Jn. 3:3). There just isn't any sanity with anyone who is not "working out [their] own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philip. 2:12).Everyone who is not being taught by the anointing of God's Spirit of truth, is absolutely not in their right mind (I Jn. 2:27; Jn. 14:26; Jn. 16:13). These things are just factual according to the scriptures, and according to the Spirit of God that is in me, which agrees with the scriptures. So it's easy to see WHY the whole world is insane, but it gets more like working your way through a deadly labyrinth every day, to live among this insanity. Have you noticed that? Isaiah, by the holy Ghost said in his day, "he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey" (Isa. 59:15). And how is it that we put ourselves in harm's way by doing the will of God? Because as John said, "the whole world lieth in wickedness" (I Jn. 5:19). And as Jesus told us as well: "yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me" (Jn. 16:2,3). Friends, it's high time to hide ourselves deeply in the only safe refuge that exists, that being "the Spirit of power, and of love, and of a sound mind," which is in Jesus Christ. (II Tim. 1:7; II Cor. 3:17). Amen.
