Repentance and the Holy Spirit

Most people who come to this page and read the articles that are written here daily know that I am very persistent on exhorting Gods' people who are baptized with his Spirit to forsake Christianity and follow God by means of his Spirit. So why is that? Well, it starts here: "And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities" (Rev. 18:4,5). Yes, I am saying that "Babylon the Great," the "great whore" of Revelation 17 and 18 is Christianity, and that God is truly calling his people to "come out of her." Most people who have studied the Bible and history enough, realize that this great whore is in reality Rome, the city that sits on seven hills, and was reigning over the kings of the earth at the time that the book of Revelation was written (Rev. 17:9,18). But the "Rome" that God is calling his people out of is a spiritual, or religious Rome, not the actual city of Rome. God's people are not IN the actual city of Rome, although hopefully there are a few who are there. But this woman of fornication is labeled as "MYSTERY, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth;" meaning that there is a hidden meaning about the woman. Well, there is no mystery about Rome sitting on seven hills, or about Rome being the ruling world empire when John wrote the Revelation that God showed him. And she obviously doesn't have anything to do with the actual geographic location of Babylon because that would be a total confusion to the fact that she is Rome. But the actual word "Bablylon" comes from "Babel," where God confused the languages of those who were rebelliously building a tower that would "reach unto heaven" (Gen. 11:4-8). So the true meaning of both "Babel" and "Babylon" is "confusion." The Rome connotation is referring to the reality that the early gentile believers who were by and large established by the apostle Paul on the foundation of the truth that was revealed to him by the Lord about the fulfillment of the law, forsook the truth that was taught to them by this great apostle to the gentiles, and gave heed to false apostles who brought them under bondage (II Tim. 1:15; Gal. 1:6,7; II Cor. 11:4,13-15; Gal. 4:16,17; Gal. 5:1,2). This falling away from the truth of the gospel snowballed for well over two hundred years after it started, and eventually was formalized as the Catholic Church between 300 and 400 A.D IN ROME. So the Roman Catholic "Church" is actually the great whore, but as the scripture states, she has daughters who are also harlots. Those daughters are the product of the Protestant "churches" that originally came out of her in the Reformation led by Martin Luther, but they did not forsake everything that pertained to their mother, and have long apostatized from the short lived liberty that was gained by the reformation. And so everything that is called Christianity today holds to the apostasy that these Protestant denominations fell into after Luther and those who followed his example were gone, even as old testament Israel "served the LORD all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua," but forsook the Lord after that generation passed on (Josh. 2:7-12). So everything that is called Christianity today is still part of the same apostasy of the early believers who eventually became the Catholic Church, and God is trying to lead his people out of the mass confusion and error of this formal religion (II Tim. 3:5).

There is absolutely NO UNITY in the Christian world, but rather the whole thing is steeped in error wherein there can be no true peace or unity of the love of God that we are called to (Jn. 17:22; I Cor. 1:10; Rom. 15:6; Col. 2:2; Col. 3:15). So God by his Spirit is calling to his people to come out of the religious and spiritual confusion and insecurity of the whole Christian religion, and those who are truly seeking him are at least feeling this call, sensing the lack of life, love, and truth in the Christian affiliations that they are in. But even those who are feeling this call do not know WHAT to do, or WHERE to go. And that brings me to the point and conclusion of this writing. The real elect of God are the true seed or children of Abraham, as the scriptures confirm: " Even as Abraham BELIEVED God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know ye therefore that they which are OF FAITH, the same are the children of Abraham... That the BLESSING of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the PROMISE of the SPIRIT through FAITH... For ye are all the children of God by FAITH in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been BAPTIZED INTO Christ have PUT ON Christ... for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" (Gal. 3:6,7,14,26-29). So to be the true seed or children of Abraham we must rely on NOTHING but faith in Jesus, which faith produces the baptism of the Spirit INTO Christ; whereby we literally "put on Christ," whom the scripture says "IS that Spirit," and whereby we are also empowered to put to death the sinful nature with all of its ways, and "walk in newness of life" (Philip. 3:3; Jn. 7:38,39; I Cor. 12:13; II Cor. 3:17; Rom. 8:13; Rom. 6:3,4). So those who uphold the baptism of the holy Ghost as the only new birth and remission of sins, and who also overcome sin and walk in that same Spirit of God's love, holiness, and truth; are the true seed of Abraham, and they have "no confidence" in any natural ceremony, or any doctrine that is not founded in the Spirit of truth and holiness (Philip. 3:3; Rom. 5:5; Jn. 16:13). These things CANNOT be accomplished by ANYONE who remains under the idolatrous practices, doctrines, and ceremonies of Christianity, all of which are CONTRARY to the leading of the Spirit. So those who are truly seeking to be "led by the Spirit of God" sense that they are in the WRONG PLACE, and are looking for the way out (Rom. 8:14). And that brings me to this: "Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee... So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him" (Gen. 12:1,4). Do you know where Abram was, that God was calling him out of? You guessed it, or maybe you didn't, but it was BABYLON! He lived in Ur of the Chaldees, which was Bablyon. And do you know why God called him out of Babyon? "And Joshua said unto all the people, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt on the other side of the flood in old time, even Terah, the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor: and they served other gods" (Josh. 24:2). That's right, because of the rampant idol worship in Babylon, just like the idolatries of Christianity today. So who did Abram go to, and where did he go? He went TO GOD, and he went WHERE GOD TOOK HIM! And that pattern is the same for Abraham's true seed today who choose to trust God and forsake the confusion of Christianity, and patiently seek God for guidance on the remainder. A true sheep of God's pasture is far better off being alone or with just a few in a pure spiritual environment, than drinking the toxic waters of Christianity with the majority (Rom. 11:2,3; Prov. 11:21; Mat. 18:20; Prov. 16:19; Jer. 15:17; II Tim. 4:10,11; Rev. 1:9-13). So there it is my friend, confirmed by old testament and new, and by historical fact. The call is out, and it is time to "follow the Lamb withersoever he goeth" (Rev. 14:4). Amen.
