Instant Salvation?

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, IF we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith” (Gal. 6:7-10). “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, AFTER ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if ANY man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe TO the saving of the soul” (Heb. 10:35-39). “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it… Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief” (Heb. 4:1,11). “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and PURIFY unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works” (Tit. 2:11-14).

“For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience WAIT for it” (Rom. 8:24,25). “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently” (I Pet. 1:22). “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure” (II Pet. 1:10). “Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, WORK OUT your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Philip. 2:12). “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall ENDURE unto the end, the same shall be saved” (Mat. 24:12,13). There it is my friend; the true salvation story. You may like to read this post again, and as you read, remember that everything that was written, was written to those who were already in Christ; meaning that they had been baptized with one Spirit into one body of Christ (I Cor. 12:13). Nobody is a lock for eternal life, and in that knowledge is where we find the fear of the Lord, which will, as the scripture says, compel us to “work out [our] salvation,” that we do not “come short of it” (Philip. 2:12; Heb. 4:1; Heb. 12:14).
