Righteousness and Truth

Today I would like to look at a passage from the first chapter of Romans that shows the plain truth about the issue of homosexuality. Everyone is welcome to their opinion on the matter, but nobody's opinion is worth a hill of beans, because it is only what God thinks about the topic that matters: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are WITHOUT EXCUSE: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they BECAME FOOLS, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. WHEREFORE God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause GOD GAVE THEM UP unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that RECOMPENSE of their error which was meet [deserving]. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a REPROBATE MIND, to do those things which are not convenient [fit]" (Rom. 1:18-28).

Now understand that this is pure scripture, and all I have to say about it is to point out what was clearly written by the apostle Paul through inspiration of the holy Ghost. If you note the words I've capitalized you will see that first of all mankind has been and is without excuse to not seek God and understand what he is about, because his reality is in plain sight of everyone. Next you will note that while man has thought himself to be wise without the knowledge of God, actually he has only made himself to be a fool. Next is shown that man has chosen to be idolatrous by nature, and because of that God has turned him over to his own lustful uncleanness that man has chosen for himself. And the scripture clearly states that the judgment of God on man's refusal to know him and be in fellowship with him is to "burn in lust" for those of the same gender, whether women for women, or men for men. That is exactly what the scripture says, and it plainly declares that particular state of being to be "a reprobate mind." Anyone who is proud of that kind of thing, or who supports, promotes, or defends that lifestyle is simply wicked. Period. And anyone who argues otherwise is just arguing against the wisdom, the power and the judgment of God. For something like this to even be a topic of controversy among men shows the devolved and degraded condition of mankind. So does this means that God 'hates' people who are homosexuals? Well, Jesus died for them, so what does that tell you? Jesus died for sinners, and Jesus longs to redeem all sinners FROM SIN! Homosexuals can be delivered from that condition if they want to be, the same as an alcoholic can be delivered from alcoholism if he wants to be.

Anyone who does not love a person that is a homosexual does not have the love of God dwelling in him. "Love worketh no ill to his neighbour" (Rom. 13:10). Anyone who would misuse or abuse a person that is homosexual is guilty of greater wickedness than the homosexual. "He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God" (I Thess. 4:8). Jesus did not come here to condemn or harm anyone for their sin, but rather he died for them in order to redeem them (Jn. 3:16,17; I Tim. 1:15). By the same token, anyone who will not plainly declare that homosexuality is perverse and wicked, regardless of what men think or do about it, does not have the love of God dwelling in them either. "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love" (I Jn. 4:18). So exactly what is it that a faithful child of God should be doing about the whole issue of homosexuality? If you want to do the will of God, then prepare your heart and your faith unto the Lord, and be equipped and ready to minister deliverance to the homosexuals who want to be free from that bondage. Be willing and able to cast out the demon of homosexuality when the opportunity presents itself. It is very much a part of your calling: "In my name shall they cast out devils" (Mk. 16:17). And I've got news for you if you have too big a problem with the issue: You will NEVER be able, or be in the position to offer that deliverance if you are not feeling and showing the love of God to people who are bound by that demon. Nonetheless God's love is holy and it NEVER compromises with or condones in any way anything that is perverse in the sight of God. Amen.
