Salvation and Scripture

Well, after putting up one of our video clips yesterday for the daily post, I just have to return to the post from two days ago with a few notes about it. After a long line of agreeing scriptures showing very clearly FROM THE BIBLE that we must be LITERALLY holy and without sin before God in order to be saved; I finished with the statement that we could now wait for someone to come along and defend sin with one scripture backed up by erroneous Christian tradition that in fact is CONTRARY to the Bible. Well, it didn't take long. Now understand I am not trying to demean anyone here, other than the spirit that was behind the comment; but nonetheless it is something that needs to be pointed out for the sake of any who are willing to do God's will and be saved, including the individual who made the comment. In two comments made by this individual, ONE SCRIPTURE (as I predicted) was used, and was attempted to be backed up by empty Christian tradition. It was said, "Now me seen as Righteous before God cos of Christ." Now what this person is saying here is that because Jesus paid the price for our sins, we are no longer accountable for sin if we "believe" on him even though we continue to be sinners; and that God sees us as righteous because of what Jesus did. And that my friend is the bottom line of modern Christian tradition and doctrine, and that bottom line is a deadly poison. It sounds like it really glorifies Jesus, and that you're giving him all the glory by confessing such, but it is a filthy rotten lie. The truth is, it gives NO glory to Jesus because it makes just another bull or goat out of him, because that lie claims that the sacrifice of Christ is no better than the sacrifices of the old testament, of which the scripture says; "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins" (Heb. 10:4). Any way you cut it, believing that you are righteous by Christianity's definition of believing on Jesus, makes a total mockery of his suffering, death, and resurrection; because it is to say that he did us nothing better than the blood of bulls and goats. Period. And unbeknownst to people making comments like that, they are plainly and simply saying that the Bible is a lie. And the individual's comment continued, saying, "and by reading these scriptures i could easily say am not a sinner like them..an iota of pride cld creep in dont you think sir?" He was talking about the scriptures that were listed in the post, which in fact were many. And it's interesting to note that he at least confessed that the scriptures were idenitfying true believes as being without sin in their lives. I understand that if you are still walking after sin that you cannot identify with the multitude of scriptures that clearly show that we cannot and must not be sinners if we hope to be saved. But don't you think that it is YOU that should allow God to change your condition by his power, so that you CAN identify with the truth of holiness; rather than by means of Christian rhetoric call the Bible a lie? The ONE scripture that was referred to in the two comments was a grasping at straws from the old testament, as he quoted wrongly as follows: "there is no righteous man on earth no not one." Well, seeing the blood of bulls and goats could never literally take away sins, as we have seen from the scriptures; of course no one was truly righteous before God because nobody's heart could be truly "purified [from sin] by faith [in Jesus]" (Acts 15:9). That is what Jesus came to make a way for my friend, a true and literal washing away of sin from the hearts of those who believe (I Cor. 6:11).

The Christian doctrines and traditions of this modern time have formed a figurative gospel headed up by "another Jesus" who is no better than the sacrifices of the old testament. Yet the BIBLE clearly states, "For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: [figuratively or symbolically] HOW MUCH MORE shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, PURGE YOUR CONSCIENCE from dead works to serve the living God?" (Heb. 9:13,14). The only way the conscience can be purged is by the heart having no sin. And as the quoted scripture says, that is what faith in Christ does for the true believer through the Spirit baptism (Acts 15:8,9). So the only reason someone comes along and tries to refute overwhelming scriptural truth about holiness is because their conscience is telling them that they have sin. And the only reason their conscience tells them they have sin is because they DO have sin. And the only reason that someone who feels that they believe on Christ still lives after sin, is because their "faith" is in "another gospel" that promotes and defends sin (II Cor. 11:4; Gal. 1:6,7). Actually, one short passage of scripture seals the deal on the whole issue, and shows that Christianity and its bottom line is an absolute farce, a mockery, and an abomination to God: "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as HE is pure... And ye know that he was manifested to TAKE AWAY our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth NOT: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that DOETH righteousness is righteous, even as HE is righteous" (I Jn. 3:2-7). Now according to this passage we are going to have to be pure like Jesus is pure, and righteous like Jesus is righteous if we want to be saved. But according to the man's comments, and according to the figurative Christian religion that so many are trusting in for their salvation, Jesus is still in sin; because the BIBLE says we must be "pure EVEN AS he is pure" if we are hoping to by saved. Surely you see that. If we can't be TRULY and LITERALLY pure in heart from sin, then that means JESUS isn't really pure. So now let's see how long it takes for someone to come along and gasp at such audacity on my part, that I should claim that the Bible means exactly what it says, and that I am in full agreement with it, in mind, spirit, and deed. And maybe they can add to their defense of sin, that I am also mistreating the poor fellow who left these comments. But to this man I offer with sincerity that you can engage me any time you like, and I will be here for you with God's love, as long as it is the truth that you are wanting to arrive at.
