I would like to look at two invitations from two women today

I would like to look at two invitations from two women today. One is from "wisdom," and the other is from the "strange," or "foolish" woman; both found in Proverbs chapter 9. And there is something very integral that I want us to see here today that strikes at the very heart of sectarianism, which is the largest obstacle to the unifying of the body of Christ. First let's hear what wisdom says: "Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding" (Prov. 9:4-6). Notice how she is calling those who lack understanding, to come and partake of what she has to offer. You may also note that she makes known exactly what it is that she IS offering, that being bread and wine. Nothing is hidden here, but rather what she has to offer is right out in the open. It is bread and wine, and it is good. It will also deliver from death, because she says to "forsake the foolish and LIVE; and go in the way of UNDERSTANDING." Now let's look at the contrasting invitation of the foolish, or strange woman: "Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell" (Prov. 9:16-18). She, like wisdom, is calling to those who lack understanding. But that is where it changes, and that change in direction is where the baited hook for your soul is at. Here is what I'm talking about: Notice that what she has to offer is VERY SECRETIVE!! "STOLEN waters are sweet, and bread eaten in SECRET is pleasant." Notice also my friend that those who are lured into her secretive, seductive lair, and eat that secretive bread and drink those stolen waters, end up in "the depths of hell;" contrary to those who yield to wisdom and "live." This is what I am saying: A sectarian spirit and doctrine always wants you to feel like you are in the religious elite. A sectarian spirit will always try to seduce you into a mindset that not only are you in the elite, but those pitiful souls who don't know the secret mysteries that you have been privileged to know, don't have much of a chance. Oh, it will SAY that those on the outside of your exclusive sect are just fine, but that spirit will cultivate such a judgmental attitude in you that you will barely be able to even acknowledge anyone apart from your religious circles as being true children of God. And the result is that those who are under this bondage are taught to be exclusive and to not engage anyone on the outside of their sect.

Now these things are always accomplished by additional, "special" doctrines and rules that are exclusive to the particular sect. Why, a sectarian spirit will not even allow you to realize that you are even IN a sect, when in fact you are in a cult. Everywhere I go I hope to be engaged by some child of God in some kind of meaningful discussion regarding the gospel. Why? To debate? Not hardly my friend. The Spirit of truth that has taught me continually for over thirty years has made me so free from the religious spirits of this world, that there is nothing left but the love of God, and the ardent desire to see his people unified in that SAME love. In all things, everywhere I go, I am a completely open book. I have nothing to hide, and I am willing to offer exactly what God has given to me, and developed me in; that being his holy love. And the truth of the matter is, there is nothing else TO offer, at least not from God (Mat. 7:12; Mat. 22:37-40; I Cor. 13:1-3; I Tim. 1:5). And I am privileged to be engaged with people in these venues often, and from many different affiliations in the body of Christ. Reason being because I am not afraid to engage or to BE engaged, which sometimes people are able to do. Sometimes someone just wants a debate. In those instances they find out rather quickly that they would have rather been somewhere else (Mat. 22:42-46). But sometimes someone actually wants to get to the truth of the matter, and that is a real blessing. Actually it is a blessing to ME either way because I am guided and preserved in these situations by the divine love and peace of the same Spirit of truth that has taught me the doctrine of Christ these many years (Eph. 4:15; II Tim. 2:25). But what I see so often in God's dear children is fear, and I mean the fear that God's people have been conditioned in, to anticipate in all situations that someone is going to try to put something over on them (II Tim. 2:1,7). And there is another fear there that they do NOT realize, that being the fear that their doctrines are going to be exposed as false. And why is that? Because the demon spirits that they are being influenced by, which also have imposed these doctrines on them, KNOW that they are false. And these demons also know when they are in the presence of someone who can and WILL expose them. So it is difficult to get through the walls that sectarian demon spirits have built up around God's people. Regardless of how much love, and how much peace, and how much sound truth is expounded; that spirit of fear usually manages to keep those who are under it just where it wants them - in fear that if they "forsake the foolish... and go in the way of understanding," that they will "LIVE." I mean, they rejected JESUS, so it is no marvel that they reject those he sends to them (Jn. 15:20). But I can tell you my friend, and that by the holy Ghost; that like never before Jesus is calling his people out of all of the sectarian bondage that they have been put under, to come unto HIM and find the rest that they are missing, and to be greatly blessed in the fellowship of his love and truth with those who are bold enough to uphold the same (Mat. 11:28,29; Philip. 2:1; 2 Tim. 2:22; I Jn. 1:7).
