The Nature of God and Love

"The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool" (Psm. 110:1). "While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?" (Mat. 22:441-44). "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows" (Heb. 1:8,9). "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God" (Jn. 1:1,2). "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I" (Jn. 14:28). "Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power... For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all" (I Cor. 15:24,27,28). "That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him" (Jn. 5:23). "Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father" (I Jn. 2:24). I could go on to list an abundance of additional scripture references that show forth the absolute and evident truth that there is a Father and a Son, both of whom are worthy of the title of 'God;' and also that the Father is greater than the Son, even as Jesus himself said. It is so plain to see that there are TWO persons of the heavenly 'God' family, if you will. The notion that God is one person who is manifested bodily through Jesus Christ alone, operating in three "offices," is so against the consistently flowing evidence of the scriptures, that it is an absurd shame that the doctrine of confusion which states these things ever got off the ground.

You may also note that in all of the scriptures referenced above, all of which by the way agree together perfectly, there is not even a single mention of the holy Ghost. The reason is that ALL scriptures that deal with the personages of the Father and the Son, do not mention the Spirit because the Spirit is NOT a person. The Spirit of God, also called the Spirit of Christ, is just that - the SPIRIT of the Father and also the Spirit of the Son. The same Spirit indwells two persons who are made ONE by HAVING THE SAME SPIRIT! That means "one mind," "one heart, "one soul," and "one accord" (Rom. 15:6; I Cor. 1:10; Acts 4:32; Acts 2:1). And that is exactly what Jesus prayed for US to be, even as he and the Father are one in that manner (Jn. 17:21-23). Having God's Spirit is the only means by which that prayer can be fulfilled, because it is what puts us into Christ and him into us; even as he is in the Father and the Father is in him (I Cor. 12:13; Col. 1:27; Jn. 10:30,38; Jn. 14:15-20). It is also an enormous shame that there exists a doctrine that makes three persons out of two persons, and confuses the beauty and simplicity of the truth that makes us one if we embrace that truth. The person of Jesus Christ is in NOBODY, but rather he sits at the right hand of his Father in heaven. Neither is the person of the Father in Jesus, nor has he ever been. God himself has ALWAYS been on the throne in heaven. But EVERYONE who has the Spirit of God residing in them is IN everyone else who has the Spirit, because it is the stream of divine life that flows in and through all whom it is in (Jn. 5:26; Jn. 7:37,38; Jn. 10:10; Rom. 8:2,10; Rev. 22:1). This is how the scripture says that we are "members one of another" (Rom. 12:5; Eph. 4:25). The Spirit is the life connection to God and his Son, and without it the Bible says we are "none of his" (Rom. 8:9). And the holy Ghost is the ONLY manifestation of the Lord Jesus Christ, and of his Father, that is available to us in this world (II Cor. 3:17; Jn. 14:23). There is only one way to receive the Spirit, and it's the same way it was first received on the day of Pentecost, along with the same accompanying sign (Acts 2:4). And there is only one way to "walk in the Spirit," or be "led by the Spirit;" and that is in the holiness of God's love without sin (Gal. 5:16; Rom. 8:13,14; Rom. 5:5). If we are truly one with the Father and the Son through the HOLY Spirit, that means that holiness is a literal state for us to live in, because it is certain that there is no sin in either the Father or the Son (I Jn. 3:5,6; I Pet. 1:15,16). As it is written, "He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit" (I Cor. 6:17). Now that joining my friend is TRULY holy matrimony. Amen.
